    115 kinda.

Post by Leland Crooks on Sat Feb 14, 2015 10:12 am

Sam's band played last night here in town.  Due to limited pack space they didn't bring the 66 the bass player normally uses.  They were practicing in the shop before the show using a RachE 15 as a bass cab.  Damn, it was really good.  I have no doubt the new 115 bass cab is a monster. This thing was that's for sure.

At the show we DI'ed the bass and mic'ed the kick into the pa.  2 gc28's and 1 RachE15 buried a bar of about 2000 sq ft, probably 200 in attendance.  I was only driving the 28's with 125watts, 500 to the sub  cheers

Played tecmaster after the show just for grins. That single RachE 15 just dominated.

Nice! What drivers do you have in your RachE15? Were you getting "chest thump" output from the single cab?

The nice thing about the GC-28s is that the "chest pump" starts in the tops. The sub just adds some ompgh.

It's actually an oem emienence built for me that I considered a failure. I just hadn't gotten around to pulling it out. I'd forgotten it was in there.

Nice! Pretty good for a "failed" driver option!

The gc28's sound very interesting. If I start doing larger shows I'll have consider a couple....my gc25's just sound so sweet! I just wanna keep stacking them up!
