Ok--all settled.
MA112 will be with Eminence Kappalite 4 or 8 ohm speaker. Four Faital 3's.
Two switches for mids. One takes out a big peak at about 1700hz. The other takes out a wide mid bump from about 600hz to 2400hz. Or not. The wide bump is pretty musical. The 1700hz peak gives a strong midrange bite.
$875
options---wheels and top handle $60
Ok---I have to be honest and ethical here. Duke and I worked a lot to refine the MAS112 crossover (for the 18sound). The 18sound is so good that the crossover didn't need the complexity we had anticipated. Duke did work very hard to get the perfect integration of the woof and mids/highs.The sound is killin' .It will have one mid switch.(for a small mid boost) This removes a small pad from the mids. It is intended to be used when one MAS112 is used. It has a small impedance dip that is fine as long as it's one cab. For two cabs together leave the pad in. You'll get more mids anyway with two cabs. The voicing with the pad engaged is a gentle plateau from about 700 hz up (about 2 db). Without the pad you get another couple of dbs. It uses four Faital 4's (you get an honest 14khz out of the 4's)
So---the MAS112 will be a bit cheaper than originally planned.
MAS112 $990
options
wheels and center handle $60
Mo Mids Mod $100
This adds two more Faital 4"'s and about another 2db of mids from 700hz up
Ciare tweeter with defeat switch $120 (the Ciare can't be used with the MO Mids Mod)
Make sense?
